Carrera Cat is the dam to the yearling, Black Magic Woman, who SHATTERED the High-Selling yearling record when the hammer came down at $180,000 on October 21st 2023. The black filly by Shining Spark was bred by Cudd Quarter Horses and raised by Shane and Jessica Boston’s Southern Ranches.
This mare has a long list of accomplishments in the reined cow horse and the roping with Brad Lund. Her very first foal by Hickory Holly Time was the 2020 Reno Snaffle Bit Futurity Champion and an NRCHA Futurity Open Finalist! Carrera Cat herself was a multiple-time Open and World Show Finalist, had 167 AQHA points and was a AQHA High Point Open Heeling mare.
This is the kind of Metallic Cat mare we love to see – she has a lot of size, bone and substance! Most of the Carrera Cat foals have been black-based. Her Hickory Holly Time was black, her Blind Sided was black and her Once In A Blu Boon is blue roan!
